Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Laney). They really took it to the South Brunswick Cougars for the full four quarters, racking up an 81-23 victory. With the Buccaneers ahead 37-17 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Laney got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Trenton Hall out in front who went 6 for 7 on his way to 15 points and three steals. Those 15 points gave Hall a new career-high. Jordan Mosley was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Laney was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Laney's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for South Brunswick, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laney will challenge Hoggard at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hoggard knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Laney likes a good challenge. As for South Brunswick, they will take on North Brunswick at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Brunswick is facing North Brunswick at the right time seeing as North Brunswick is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
