After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln-Way East, Kankakee was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the Thornridge Falcons to the tune of 82-6. The victory continues a trend for the Kays in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won five in a row.

Kankakee's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Thornridge, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kankakee will head out to challenge Normal Community at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Kays will need to watch out since the Ironmen have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Thornridge, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bloom at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
