High Desert recap October 22, 2013
Kern Valley added to the longest winning streak in High Desert this week by beating Rosamond, 66-7. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Broncs.
The Roadrunners fell to Kern Valley 66-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Dalton Gallis threw for 171 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Cody Little was the best wideout in the league this week as Ben Goffinet and Brandon Deckard's team bested Rosamond. Little tallied 3 receptions for 76 yards. Shane Hawk helped Kern Valley's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 68 yards.
The Broncs' Gallis and Little have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Gallis has thrown for 1,378 yards this season, while Little has 20 catches for 479 yards. Frazier Mountain's Riley Daniels leads the league in rushing yards with 780.
One of High Desert's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Kern Valley and California City face off next week.
As it stands, the Falcons are in second, while Bishop is in third.
Kris Krempien's team made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 14,271 from 14,355. The improvement was largely due to a 66-7 victory over the Roadrunners last week.
