There's no place like home for The Donna Redskins, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 48-14 victory over Pace. The result was nothing new for Donna, who have now won three matchups by 34 points or more so far this season.
Donna got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Geoffrey Creighton lefevre out in front who threw for 427 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Xavier Rodriguez, who picked up 181 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the defeat, Pace had strong showings from Adrian Sauceda, who rushed for 127 yards, and Angel Galvan, who threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns. Sauceda is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played.
Donna's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Pace, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-6.
Donna will head out on the road to face off against Donna North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pace, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Weslaco East at 7:00 p.m.
