In what's become a running theme this season, the Wright City Lumberjax gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 69-38 win over Valliant at home. The victory was familiar territory for Wright City who now have six in a row.
Wright City had a senior duo take command as Madison Carter scored 25 points along with six rebounds and two steals and Ali Gibson scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Carter hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Braileigh Threadgill, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Wright City's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42 points. As for Valliant, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wright City will take on Dewar at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Dewar will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while Wright City is ranked 33rd). As for Valliant, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Haworth at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
