Braddock had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Doral Academy Firebirds with a sharp 15-2 win on Thursday. Braddock got a great performance from Miguel Diaz as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Diaz has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sebastian Llamozas was incredible, firing off two home runs and seven RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Braddock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Doral Academy only posted an OBP of .400.
Braddock is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Doral Academy, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-6-1.
