Somerset Academy Central Miramar struggled with assists two weeks ago (Franklin Academy had 11 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. The contest between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Somerset Academy Central Miramar falling 62-46.
Somerset Academy Central Miramar's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jayden Auguste, who scored 16 points along with four steals, and Joshua Petit who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Auguste has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alpha Hicks, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, International Studies took a serious blow against Don Soffer Aventura on Wednesday, falling 70-26.
Somerset Academy Central Miramar's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 1-5. As for International Studies, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5.
Everything came up roses for Somerset Academy Central Miramar against International Studies in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 as the squad secured a 56-21 victory. With Somerset Academy Central Miramar ahead 34-11 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
