The Camden County Wildcats won the last time they faced the Richmond Hill Wildcats, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Camden County walked away with a 44-36 win over the Wildcats. Given Camden County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Wildcats are ranked 92nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Camden County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Akeelah Bryan, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Bryan hasn't dropped below three steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Rietveld, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
Camden County's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Richmond Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.
Camden County will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Richmond Hill, they will head out on the road to challenge the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lowndes is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
