On Saturday, Excel Christian take on Sierra Lutheran at 1:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Excel Christian had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 28-56 punch to the gut against Coleville last Saturday. Excel Christian were down by 22-44 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, Sierra Lutheran took care of business in their home opener. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by The Meadows School 21-20.
Sierra Lutheran's win lifted them to 1-0 while Excel Christian's loss dropped them down to 0-1. Sierra Lutheran's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Excel Christian defensive front that amassed 5 sacks against Coleville, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
