The Dakota Prairie Knights will face off against the Larimore Polar Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Dakota Prairie's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in December of 2023 after their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Richland.
Meanwhile, Larimore was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 56-51 to Langdon/Edmore/Munich.
Michael Myers put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. He set a new season high mark in blocks with six. Another player making a difference was Jace Collison, who scored 11 points.
Even though they lost, Larimore were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Dakota Prairie's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. As for Larimore, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Dakota Prairie came up short against Larimore in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 56-43. Can Dakota Prairie avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
