The Redeemer Christian Lions's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They blew past Ocala Christian 64-41. The win was just what Redeemer Christian needed coming off of a 65-19 loss in their prior matchup.
Leading Redeemer Christian to victory were Andrew Parker and Beau Suarez. Parker scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and five assists, while Suarez scored 28 points. The match was Parker's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Miller-Edwards, who scored nine points.
Redeemer Christian's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8. As for Ocala Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Redeemer Christian is on the road again on Friday and play against Oak Hall at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Oak Hall presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Redeemer Christian in Florida (Oak Hall is ranked 319th, while Redeemer Christian is ranked 649th). As for Ocala Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Meadowbrook Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Meadowbrook Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 back in December of 2023.
