While losing is never fun, The Master's Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 506th, while Lake Lure Classical Academy is ranked 164th).
Despite the loss, The Master's Academy still got an impressive performance from Hunter Brown, who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Brown scored 15 or more points. Ben Davis was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Da'Zirus Watkins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lake Lure Classical Academy, scoring 23 points along with three steals. The match was Watkins' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Andre Staley, who scored 15 points.
The Master's Academy now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
