The Motivation Jaguars will be playing at home against the Philadelphia Military Academy Knights at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Motivation, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 69-54 loss to TECH Freire Charter. While losing is never fun, Motivation can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 491st, while TECH Freire Charter is ranked 203rd).
Despite the loss, Motivation saw an underclassman step up: Chace White scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White has scored all season. Amare Gadson was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-29, which was the final score in Philadelphia Military Academy's tilt against Parkway Center City on Friday.
Motivation's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5. As for Philadelphia Military Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-4.
Motivation lost to Philadelphia Military Academy at home by a decisive 75-61 margin in their previous matchup back in January of 2022. Can Motivation avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
