Chicago Mathematics & Science have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 34 points or more this season. They blew past Rickover Naval, posting a 77-20 win at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Chicago Mathematics & Science also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Leading Chicago Mathematics & Science to victory were Michael Oginni and Joune Woods. Oginni scored 16 points, while Woods scored 14 points along with three steals and three blocks. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Casey Fleming, who scored eight points.
Chicago Mathematics & Science's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Rickover Naval, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chicago Mathematics & Science will square off against Uplift at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Uplift is on a four-game streak of home wins, Chicago Mathematics & Science a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Rickover Naval, they will head out on the road to face off against Foreman at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
