Even though the St. John Fighting Herald scored an imposing 55 points on Thursday, the Windham Bombers still came out on top. Windham secured a 61-55 W over St. John. That's another feather in the cap for Windham, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Fighting Herald players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was alyssa cevera, who scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mickey Zheng, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
The victory got Windham back to even at 1-1. As for St. John, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Windham will stay at home for another game and welcome Lordstown at 5:30 p.m. on December 4th. Lordstown and Windham are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for St. John, they will head out on the road to face off against Pymatuning Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
