It was a good run, but the Franklin Indians unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Western Tech & Environmental Science. Franklin lost against Western Tech & Environmental Science in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 70-36 score last time.
Despite the defeat, Franklin saw an underclassman step up: Brenden Grace scored 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Dell, who scored eight points.
Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will take on Hereford at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hereford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Franklin likes a good challenge. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, they will be playing at home against New Town at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
