The Genesee Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Logos at home by a decisive 79-62 margin. Genesee has not had much luck with Logos recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Genesee's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Seth Vestal, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Teak Wareham, who scored 15 points.
Leading Logos to victory were Jack Driskill and Seamus Wilson. Driskill scored 19 points along with six assists and three steals, while Wilson dropped a double-double on 33 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Wilson has scored at least a third of Logos' points. Boaz Whitling was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
Genesee's defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-12. As for Logos, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Genesee will head out on the road to square off against Troy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Troy is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Logos, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Prairie at 5:30 p.m. Prairie will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings (they are ranked 110th, while Logos is ranked 34th).
