Mountain Crest has gone a perfect 10-0 against Logan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Grizzlies at 4:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Logan will be up against a hot Mountain Crest team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Mustangs came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against Timpanogos.

Rylin Needham spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jackson Pearce, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple was his first of the season. Ryder Bradford was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Mountain Crest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Logan hadn't done well against Sky View recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Grizzlies had just enough and edged out the Bobcats 5-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Logan also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Marcus Shopbell gave up four runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Logan let Josh Jensen and Kyler Briel run wild. Jensen scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Briel went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Jensen has become a key player for Logan: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Smith, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Logan pushed their record up to 4-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Mountain Crest, their record is now 9-3.
Mountain Crest took their victory against Logan in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 17-0 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Grizzlies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
