The Fowler Grizzlies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-58 win over Thomas MacLaren School. The win was some much needed relief for Fowler as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Fowler's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Harrison Proctor, who scored 18 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Proctor has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Gottbehuet, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Thomas MacLaren School's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Montgomery, who scored 16 points along with three steals. Beckett Shannon was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
Fowler's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Thomas MacLaren School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fowler will take on Swink at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Thomas MacLaren School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Peyton at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
