Loveland Classical has gone 4-0 against Nederland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Loveland Classical Lions take on the Nederland Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Loveland Classical has seven straight wins, Nederland has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Last Monday, Loveland Classical humbled Aurora West College Prep Academy with a 75-41 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 27 points or more this season.

Loveland Classical's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Jensen, who went 8 of 12 en route to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Jensen has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kole Doan, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 17 points.
Loveland Classical was working as a unit and finished the game with 27 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Nederland ended up a good deal behind William Smith on Monday and lost 55-37.
Loveland Classical will have to contain Mason Ivey as he made an impact in Nederland's last game. He dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Ivey a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Drew Hertzfeld, who posted four points and seven boards.
Loveland Classical's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.9 points. As for Nederland, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Loveland Classical hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 60.2 points per game. It's a different story for Nederland, though, as they've been averaging only 26.8 points. The only thing between Loveland Classical and another offensive beatdown is Nederland. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Everything came up roses for Loveland Classical against Nederland in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 69-19 victory. Will Loveland Classical repeat their success, or does Nederland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
