After two weeks on the road, Lyndhurst is heading back home. On Friday they will take on Garfield at 7:00 PM. Lyndhurst are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
Lyndhurst might be getting used to good results now that the squad has three wins in a row. They came out on top against Glen Rock by a score of 28-21 last Friday. Among those leading the charge for Lyndhurst was junior Piotr Partyla, who rushed for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns. Partyla has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.
As for Garfield, it's was a good run, but they finally witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak. They came up short against Hawthorne, falling 7-14.
Lyndhurst's win lifted them to 6-1 while Garfield's defeat dropped them down to 5-3. Garfield's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Lyndhurst defensive front that amassed four sacks against Glen Rock, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
