On Friday, CHESS Academy really took it to St. Teresa's Catholic for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-46 victory on the road.
Despite the loss, St. Teresa's Catholic saw an underclassman step up: Dyland Rangel scored 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Marini, who scored 9 points.
CHESS Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for St. Teresa's Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. CHESS Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Byne Christian at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for St. Teresa's Catholic, they will face off against Colquitt Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
