Balboa is 9-1 against Lowell since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Balboa Buccaneers will head out on the road to face off against the Lowell Cardinals at 1:30 p.m. Balboa is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, while Balboa put up plenty of points, the same can't be said for Galileo. Balboa blew past Galileo 37-0 on the road. Balboa might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five contests by 23 points or more this season.
Balboa's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rylen Thien-jones led the charge by throwing for 276 yards and four touchdowns. Donntae Chung masina was in the mix too, providing Balboa with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Lowell earned a 35-28 win over Washington on Friday. The victory was just what Lowell needed coming off of a 55-14 defeat in their prior match.
Balboa has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Lowell, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Everything came up roses for Balboa against Lowell in their previous meeting last Saturday as the team secured a 55-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Balboa since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
