Upper Darby is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Garnet Valley a three-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Garnet Valley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Haverford 6-5. The Jaguars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Ashlyn Thompson looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Those hits were her first of the season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zoey Rogers, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. She also launched a home run, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Audrie Criswell, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Garnet Valley's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Upper Darby, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Upper Darby has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Garnet Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
