Houston Academy hasn't lost a match since February 27th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They never let the Ariton Purple Cats get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering Houston Academy have won nine contests by more than four goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Ariton from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Elsie Shirley led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Houston Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-1-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight matchups. As for Ariton, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Houston Academy will take on rival Northside Methodist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ariton is set to square off against their familiar foe Providence Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
