Softball Recap: Keller Wins Going Away Against Trinity

Keller barely beat Trinity the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians blew past the Trojans 14-5 on Friday. Considering the Indians have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mackenna Jackson was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydona Meiser, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run and three runs.

Keller has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Trinity, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Keller will welcome Timber Creek at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Trinity, they will challenge V.R. Eaton at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
