After flying high against the Clay Center Tigers last Thursday, the Southeast of Saline Trojans came back down to earth. Southeast of Saline took a 44-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ellsworth on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southeast of Saline has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Southeast of Saline lost, one person who can't be blamed is Owen Bailey. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. Connor Caselman was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Southeast of Saline's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Ellsworth, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Sacred Heart the next time they take the court. Southeast of Saline will head out to face Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Ellsworth will host them on Wednesday.
