The Southeast Golden Buffalo's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 66-27 loss at the hands of Bishop Carroll. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Southeast has suffered yet this season.
Southeast's loss came despite strong showings from Alana Webb and Leela Jones. Webb scored 14 points, while Jones scored nine points along with five rebounds and five steals. That was a full 51.9% of Southeast's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Southeast has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Bishop Carroll, their victory was their 13th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast will face off against Emporia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Emporia will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Bishop Carroll will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against East at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th.
