The Mulberry Grove Aces will be playing in front of their home fans against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Mulberry Grove came into Tuesday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took their game at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 82-44 victory over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-16.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mulberry Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carter Scoggins, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scoggins has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Landon Sugg, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Pana by a score of 62-60.
Mulberry Grove's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, their loss dropped their record down to 12-16.
Mulberry Grove was taken down by the 59-27 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Mulberry Grove, Austin Wittenberg (who scored 15 points along with two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
