Basketball Recap: Israel Lockridge Key Part of a Team Effort in LIONS Win

After losing to Central Christian the last time they met, Trinity Christian School of Griffin decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS managed a 51-46 victory over the Central Christian Crusaders on Friday.

Trinity Christian School of Griffin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Israel Lockridge, who posted 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Lockridge is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least five every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Greene, who had 13 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Trinity Christian School of Griffin's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Central Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Trinity Christian School of Griffin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 79-36 win against Skipstone Academy on the 14th. As for Central Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Arnold at 4:30 p.m. on January 5, 2025.
