The Davie War Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Iredell. Davie has not had much luck with North Iredell recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Several War Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bailey Aderhold, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Peyton Spaugh, who scored two points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Davie's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for North Iredell, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davie will be home for the holidays to greet East Forsyth at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. East Forsyth is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. North Iredell will be home for the holidays to greet Foard at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. Hopefully Foard focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Wednesday.
