Englewood extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Monday, dropping them down to 0-6. They lost 25-3 to the Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-2 on February 3rd.
Englewood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brysik Henderson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Jackson Graham was another, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by ten runs or more this season.
On Covenant School of Jacksonville's side, Logan Kogut made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Kogut posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Covenant School of Jacksonville got a massive performance out of Kelan Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Wilson is becoming a predictor of the Warriors' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Orlando Gutierrez Jr., who went 2-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Looking ahead, Englewood will welcome Parker at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Braves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.8 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, they will head out to face off against Riverside at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
