The Middletown Cavaliers will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Overbrook Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Middletown will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Thursday, Middletown took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 64-26 victory over Newark. That 38 points margin sets a new team best for Middletown this season.
Overbrook aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Thursday extended their overall winning streak to three. They came out on top against Abraham Lincoln by a score of 59-50.
Overbrook's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Omar Davis, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 steals. Davis is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Nasir Kelly, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Middletown now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Overbrook, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season.
