The Nazarene Christian Academy Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Christian Life Preparatory, posting a 54-17 win on the road. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Nazarene Christian Academy as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Leading Nazarene Christian Academy to victory were Jenna Valdez and Dakota Becker. Valdez scored 14 points along with eight rebounds, while Becker dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Becker has scored at least a third of Nazarene Christian Academy's points. Abigail Thomas was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Nazarene Christian Academy's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16. As for Christian Life Preparatory, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nazarene Christian Academy will challenge the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethesda Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Christian Life Preparatory will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
