In what's become a running theme this season, the Heartland Mustangs gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 67-29 win over Center Place on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Heartland has posted since December 5, 2023.
Heartland was led to victory by Diego Martinez and Jayce Maiden. Martinez scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Maiden scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Martinez hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Zach Stone, who scored 13 points.
Heartland's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Center Place, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heartland will take on El Dorado Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. El Dorado Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Center Place, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
