Having just played yesterday, the El Toro Chargers will jump right back in to play the Orangewood Academy Spartans at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
El Toro's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 61-46 bruising from Price.
Defeat or not, El Toro got some senior leadership from Aidan McMichael who scored nine points and Christian Jimenez who scored 12 points. Jimenez scored a full 26.1% of El Toro's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Orangewood Academy's 23-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell to Cleveland 54-49.
El Toro has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Orangewood Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
El Toro strolled past Orangewood Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2017 by a score of 94-77. Will El Toro repeat their success, or does Orangewood Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
