Video: Xcellent 25 high school football rankings
See where De La Salle ranks nationally after topping the NorCal rankings.
Before we get to football, Cardinal Newman returns to the rankings, but football is an afterthought
this week as parts of Santa Rosa have been engulfed in the Tubbs Fire,
including half of the school. Games for Cardinal Newman as well as Rancho Cotate have been canceled. Marin Catholic is still scheduled to play Saturday. No games in the Bay Area have been postponed, but smoky conditions could force school officials to make those decisions as game time approaches.
The top three teams remain firm, one from the North Coast Section and two from the Sac-Joaquin Section. A head-to-head showdown of Top 10 teams prompted a rankings shuffle, albeit slightly. More showdowns loom.
