It was a proper cat-fight when Asheville faced off against Loris on Thursday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 10-3 win. Considering the Cougars have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Asheville and bumps their season record up to 14-5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Loris, they moved to 14-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Asheville will head out to face off against Aynor at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Loris, they will venture away from home to challenge Green Sea Floyds at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
