Basketball Recap: Aiden Labissoniere and Caden Sommerfield Secure Win for Frankenmuth

After losing to Garber the last time they met, Frankenmuth decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Frankenmuth Eagles enjoyed a cozy 63-45 victory over the Garber Dukes on Tuesday. The Eagles pushed the score to 49-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Dukes cut but never quite recovered from.

Frankenmuth was led to victory by Caden Sommerfield and Aiden Labissoniere. Sommerfield went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points along with eight boards and five steals, while Labissoniere made all 5 shots he took to post 13 points. With that strong performance, Sommerfield is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Jacobs, who posted nine points.

Frankenmuth's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Garber, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Frankenmuth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-50 victory against Alma on the 10th. As for Garber, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-47 defeat against Mt. Pleasant on the 9th.
