Basketball Recap: Troy Piles Up the Points Against Hudson Falls

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Troy). They blew past the Hudson Falls Tigers 63-35 on Saturday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Flying Horses with their most commanding win of the season.

Amaya Harris was her usual excellent self, going 10 for 16 on her way to 24 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Harris is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kiana Tiernan, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Troy and bumps their season record up to 4-3. As for Hudson Falls, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Troy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against La Salle Institute at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Hudson Falls will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against South Glens Falls at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
