The Lakeside Lancers will take on the Yucca Valley Trojans at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Lakeside is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Fontana a 10-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for the Lancers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Adryanna Alvarez was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.
In other batting news, Reese Fisher was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Leila Bahrami was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Yucca Valley entered their tilt with Bellflower on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Buccaneers 11-5. Considering the Trojans have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Layla Rhodes looked comfortable as she pitched 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.
At the plate, Tayla Monroy and Leila Schwab did most of the damage at the plate: Monroy went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Schwab went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Schwab has posted since back in March. Hadyn Ross also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Yucca Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Lakeside's record now sits at 12-16. As for Yucca Valley, their record is now 13-9-1.
