The McQueen Lancers had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 54-48 W over Carson on Friday. The win was just what McQueen needed coming off of a 78-46 loss in their prior matchup.
McQueen found their leader in underclassman Kade Snyder, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 17 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Hancock, who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds and four steals.
McQueen's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Carson, their loss was their 15th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-14.
McQueen will take on Reed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Reed is ranked 35th, while McQueen is ranked 49th). As for Carson, they will head out on the road to face off against Spanish Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Spanish Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
