Wray and Yuma are an even 5-5 against one another since June of 2021, but likely not for long. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Outlaws at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Yuma will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Wray extended their winning streak to four on Saturday. The Eagles never let Sedgwick County get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by ten runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Hudson Rockwell, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Stults, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Wray always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2025.
Meanwhile, Yuma hadn't done well against Brush recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Outlaws put the hurt on the Beetdiggers with a sharp 17-4 victory. The matchup marked the Outlaws' most dominant win of the season so far.
Jesus Rodriguez made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Rodriguez was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Yuma got a massive performance out of Stevie Seward, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Seward a new career-high. Marvin Duarte was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Wray's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Yuma, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Wray has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.5 hits per game. However, it's not like Yuma struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
