Rauner is a perfect 3-0 against Farragut since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Rauner will head out to take on Farragut at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Rauner's win against Golder wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Rauner came out on top in a nail-biter against Golder on Saturday, sneaking past 7-5. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Andrew Anaya was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That one hit allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while going 1-for-4. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Lucas Ghanimah was excellent, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Fernandez, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Farragut had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Curie 13-1 on Tuesday.
Like Rauner, Farragut also got a great game from a two-way player: Ben DeMateo. On the mound, DeMateo struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Alex Barrera pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, DeMateo went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs, while Barrera went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Yoel Guerra, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Freddy Garcia, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Rauner's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Farragut, their record is now 1-0.
Rauner came out on top in a nail-biter against Farragut in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rauner since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
