The Charter Oak Chargers waltzed into their contest Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Compton by a score of 59-52.
Defeat or not, Compton got some senior leadership from Jashon Finley who scored 20 points along with six steals and Oshon Mitchell who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Mitchell scored a full 40.4% of Compton's points, the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Charter Oak's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Compton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charter Oak will take on Santa Fe at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Fe has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 14. Compton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Woodrow Wilson at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. Woodrow Wilson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 217 points over their last three matchups.
