The Skyline Raiders fell victim to the Waxahachie Indians''s stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were the victim of a tough 21-0 defeat at the hands of the Indians. While losing is never fun, Skyline can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Waxahachie is ranked 41st).
Brandon Barnes threw for 52 yards on ten of 21 attempts. On the ground, Tramell Minter rushed for 94 yards.
Skyline are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.5 points per game. As for Waxahachie, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Waxahachie will head out on the road to face off against Midway at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. Midway is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
