Summertown is a perfect 10-0 against Lewis County since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will welcome the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Summertown is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Summit just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Spartans 25-19 in the first set.
Summertown started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-13, 25-14, 25-15.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Zoei Bonner, who had 21 assists and four digs. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 21 or more in each of the last six games she's played. Annalee Kelly was another key player, getting 11 digs.
Meanwhile, Lewis County came up short against Loretto on Tuesday and fell 3-1.
Lewis County couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Loretto a tough time in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 31-33, 25-17.
Summertown's loss dropped their record down to 32-8. As for Lewis County, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.
Summertown took their victory against Lewis County in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
