Beaufort Academy and John Paul II are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Beaufort Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the John Paul II Golden Warrriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Beaufort Academy's 19-9 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hilton Head Prep on Friday. While losing is never fun, Beaufort Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Hilton Head Prep is ranked 53rd).
Even though John Paul II has not done well against Bethesda Academy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way last Saturday. John Paul II walked away with a 66-54 victory over Bethesda Academy.
Beaufort Academy bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for John Paul II, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.
Beaufort Academy beat John Paul II 52-39 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Beaufort Academy repeat their success, or does John Paul II have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
