Cimarron scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Chase 75-3 on the road. That looming 75-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Cimarron yet this season.
Meanwhile, Macksville didn't have too much breathing room in their match against St. John on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 49-43 victory.
Macksville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hector Gomez led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Gomez posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Diego Esparza, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Cimarron's win ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7. As for Macksville, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their 13th straight on the road.
