They took a 45-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arcola. If Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] hoped to take revenge for the 56-40 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]'s defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josie Armstrong, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Armstrong hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Sami McClain, who scored 15 points.
Arcola's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kacie Sisk, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacey Kessler, who scored 15 points.
Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]'s defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7. As for Arcola, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] will take on Cerro Gordo/Bement at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Cerro Gordo/Bement focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday. As for Arcola, they will take on Sullivan at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sullivan is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
